Our budget billing service allows you to manage your home heating expenses with equal payments spread over the 10-month home heating season. It’s simple. You pay an average amount for your energy use from September to June to help even out high energy consumption periods during the coldest times of the year.

The 10-month budget plan offers payment dates on the 1st or 15th each month from September to June
Your budget bill is based on estimating your total yearly cost and dividing it by the number of payments you’ll be making during the 10-month budget season.
Budget Billing payments are made through pre-authorized bank or credit card accounts and are paid on the 1st and/or 15th of the month from September to June.
Your payment includes your propane fuel and propane tank equipment service plan (if you have one). Budget billing does not include equipment sales, leases, rentals or service work.
Actual costs can differ due to weather, home renovations, propane prices and other factors. Mid-way through the winter, we’ll look at your account and contact you if we recommend adjusting your payment.
Statements are issued in December, March and June.
Your final statement is issued June 30th.
Any credit or balance owing on your account will automatically be processed in full to your bank account or credit card within 30 days of the final statement.
The ‘amount due’ on your statement can reflect charges that are often not covered in your budget billing plan. Examples of such charges would be equipment purchases, burner service work, as well as any missed payments. All of these amounts are payable.
Also, the ‘amount due’ can be a reflection of the cost of one month’s lease or equipment rental. Pre-authorized payments will usually appear on the following statement. For example, the January lease may appear as an amount due on the January bill even though it will be automatically paid in February. Therefore, if your lease is set up for pre-authorized payment, do not pay this amount due.
The account balance is not a payable amount. It is meant to show you the running balance of total payments and total charges at any point in the season. Ideally, by the end of the budget season, total payments for that period will be about the same as total actual charges, with the difference being reflected in the account balance.
During the summer of each year you will be notified of your estimated monthly payment amount for the following season. There is no need to contact us to re-approve pre-authorized payments—the new amount will automatically be deducted from your bank or credit card account beginning each September.
We calculate your monthly rate based on a reasonable estimate of your annual propane consumption. Your annual volume will be multiplied by your Cap Price and divided by 10 to determine your monthly rate. You will receive written notification of your monthly payment amount by early/mid-August.
