Industrial
The flexibility, portability and clean energy of propane have created almost unlimited industrial applications. Almost anywhere.
Nearly two-thirds of all industrial buildings rely on gas heating systems. Boilers, rooftop units, unit heaters, radiant heaters, and temporary seasonal systems offer you lower cost of operation and more venting options.
Industrial processes, including manufacturing, use propane for heating, cooking, heat treating, cutting, drying, and even to generate electricity. Using proven technology, propane co-generation plants are viable where a constant hydro demand exists, or installation or service upgrade costs for hydro service are prohibitive.
Gas utilities use propane to augment natural gas delivery when necessary - and as a standby fuel.
Petrochemical industries consume approximately half of the propane in North America, and use propane as a feedstock to make a tremendous array of products, such as plastic bags.
